Porsche 944 Center Console in My EX.
I got a job in a quasi-junkyard... I saw the center console and wanted it... It went in SOOOO easy I can't believe it... I still have some finalization to do but overall I can't believe how simple it was...
The craziest part is that it mounts PERFECTLY (well just about) in 2 different possitions... SO... you can mount it lower and a little further back than I did and you DO NOT loose the pocket/stock ashtry/cig. lighter. and the joint where the stock honda bit and the porsche front bit meet lines ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. there is NO gap when mounted lower... but I don't think the lower din hole would be deep enough for a full size headunit etc... but it would fit a half depth cup/pocket.
I'll take pics of it mounted the other way before I finalize the installation... Just wanted to put pics up cuz I've had a boner over this for 2-3 days now and my wife just doesn't care. (it's actually the first thing I've done to my car that she A. noticed and B. Liked.)
here are the pics...
**EDIT 2**
Did some more work to get it all in properly... still have some things to do but IMO it looks MUCH better now that the headunit sits in it and the lower pocket is one that's meant to be there...
NEW PICS...
Yes it's still dirty... and the bottom still needs to be covered (where it meets (or doesn't meet) the floor), I'm also going to cut/reposition the shifter so the **** sits more appropriately...
That's it for now... I may clean it today and take better pics in better light.
**/EDIT2**
From Backseat...
The merge of the porsche front bit and the civic rear (will be changing to a 4door armrest rear section and filling that gap with something soon)...
From the side (I will be cutting a piece of thin wood and carpeting it to fill in the gap between the bottom of the center console and the floor of the car)...
*edit*
This is not the same picture... So you can't see the gap between the floor and the console...
*/edit*
I'll edit the post with a write up if anyone is interested... But like I said it's not quite done yet... still have to finish up some details.
Let me know what you think... And yes be honest... Flame-tards welcome.

85.5+ for sure... they may have come in earlier ones though...
Oh... I forgot to mention the shifter is literally as close as it could be... it's it's in first or third gear in the pic... I'd also like it to sit lower so it (the shift ****) looks more like it does in the 944... I'm thinking of cutting/grooving the bottom of my B&M shifter and bolting on the top half of the 944 shiftlever so A. the shiftknob seats perfectly (it's on tighter and better than the old Junkyard **** I had on there) B. I can have it sit further forward so it doesn't strecth the leather as far as it does now in the bottom gears.
This has also started what could turn out to be a pretty good theme... as gay as that sounds...
You see... 944 turbo's also came with water/oil cooled turbo's and EXTERNAL wastegates... not to mention a HUGE (well not compared to aftermarket ones) intercooler...
So... In the not too distant (well probobly pretty distant) future I may be slapping some more important porsche parts on my car...

that is cool as hell! i love it. my friend has a 87 944 turbo, nice car, very fast, but its a lemon - he's put so much money into it and it is still a pos.

Re: (blackhatchy)
how the hell did you get the idea to do this?
i cant really tell from the pic, but your car is an eg right? do you think this would be any different for an ek?
when you get it all done, more pics, and a detailed writeup would be awesome . i think i might do this to mine.
