Anyone ever heard of this? I searched and only found this thread in the Prelude forum.

Basically whenever I let the clutch out, doesn't matter if it's hot or cold or stopped or driving, I get a "po-pop" noise. Push the clutch in, fine. Let it out and I get 2 quick pops. Kinda feels like a spring or something. The only answer I found that made any sense in that other thread was the throwout bearing, but I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of it.

i get that same problem with my clutch and i was always told that it was the throw out bearing but that is my .02

I got this same sound once, but it was more of a clicking sound. What I did was re-grease all of the contact points on the clutch fork and it went away, even the ones on the inside of the tranny. I took out the radiator and greased up a stick and stuck it through the hole, the clicking noise went away

edit: I only heard the sound when I released the clutch pedeal, as in your case

How long has yours been doing it?

it started about a year after I converted it to manual/new clutch (I remember not putting a lot of grease), the clicking noise stopped for another 9 months until I pulled the motor

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've got some white lightning spray grease. I'll try that tonite.
