well your from cali and i heard they crush cars down there. they also will take your car and assume you are the one who stole it and pin your *** to the wall. also i wouldnt support a theif if they were saving me 4000 bucks. expletive stolen **** and get something legit.

plenty of people do it in CA. If you dont want to get caught...dont drive like a idot, dont sport a 95db+ exhaust, have carb legal parts(visually), find a place that smogs under the table and lastly have a legit motor (stolen parts are for idots) If you follow all of these rules, you should be okay.

got caught and just wondering what should i do when i go to court guilty or not and how much is the fine i do pleed guilty

Is the OP asking what they authorities would do if you had a Stolen motor/parts in your car?

Or is he asking what the CHP would do if your car wasnt BAR legal, Wrong year motor. Aftermarket parts.

Theives suck, They should die, But lets not point fingers.

thats the same thing going through my head. the only thing he could do is tell the judge he had the swap done and didnt know the parts were stolen (play dumb). either way hes going to end up with some hefty penalties and possibly no car.

let me rephrase the question i got stopped and the cop made me pop my hood and saw that it was a jdm engine so he gave me a ticket for the motor and for not being bar legal so if i pleed guilty how big will the fine be and what other consequences can i expect

well im not sure of CA laws but if its not stolen and he didnt impound your car it will just be a fine you pay more then likely. go to court and tell the judge you are trying to fix it and all that and maybe they will be nice and lower your fine.

is the motor stolen? or legit? if its stolen good luck to you brother...but if it's legit and you have the reciept to prove it, then you'll prolly get fined a few hundred and have to swap in a legit (factory motor) motor.

what were you stopped for?

thanks so in other words if i say im guilty i just have to pay the fine and end of story or will i have to swap a stock motor in to it also

what motor ? what car? If you can get the car Bar'd you probably won't have to pay much if anything

They ask you to pop the hood and give you a ref ticket. Have 30 days to get BAR or pass or else they could take your registration i believe until you pass smog.

playing dumb will be your best bet in this situation and see whare it gets ya... couldnt hurt.
