POOR MANS R QUESTION!!!
I read all over the search that it is kinda difficult using an obd1 block when the car is an obd2 mainly because the obd2 ecu will search for sensors that the block wont have. What if this is the other way around, what i use and obd2 block and i have an obd1 car, will this work?

first what year is your car . 2nd it does not matter if the block or head is obd1 or 2 it only matters on what year engine harness, dissy and ecu u use. hell u can swap a 01 itr motor in a 91 civic which is obd0 and use a modified 91 si harness and a pr3 b16a ecu and pr3 b16a dissy and it will still run

don't worry about it, if your car is already obd1 than just slap the block on, since your car is already obd1 it won't throw codes or read the extra sensors on the obd2 block

my car is a 91 hatch i converted everthing to obd1 i just put a 01 gsr bottom end in it everthing bolted up perfect the only sensor not used was the crank sensor which you can just leave unplugged everything else plugs in just like it was an obd1 motor

You should be fine The only difference is that the 96 block will have a CFK sensor on the oil pump. You won't need it for your setup.
