I would upgrade the headgasket, you can get a steel one from Mr. gasket for a few bucks more, and it will hold up better over time. Dont go cheap on the most important sealing surface on your engine. Why go stock, when you can up grade.

honda oem gaskets are steel ones already. and they ahve proven over and over to hold 20+ psi of boost as well.

Why change when stock has been proven effective?

Re: Poor Mans R....Which Headgasket?? (ITR 98 1162)
So your car is stock then, I mean if it came on the car then why upgrade it when it goes bad. Who really goes to honda for wiper blades? Yeah the worked but why pay the money when you can get a better quality product for the same and even some times cheaper price? Thats all I was saying. Good luck and keep those post number up.

Re: Poor Mans R....Which Headgasket?? (ObedD15)
I had a poor man's R.
I drilled out the pins on the Honda gasket and took the middle layer out. No leakage although I assure you it's a risk. Then I coated it with copper spray and quickly put the head on so the gasket can seat well.
Compression was about 11.5/1
