Hey guys/gals, i blew my gsr that i was running bosst on so until i have the money to rebuild it with forged internals i have all the fixins in my garage for building a poor mans type r, besides pistons but i read up and have decided what way im going to run with this. I just need this to be my DD for the summer while im home from school, but i still want something with some zip, although it wont compare to my LSV that had 350whp anyways heres the build....

GSR block bored 82MM
GSR crank and rods
Nippon CTR pistons (12.1:1 CR w/ this setup)
ACL bearings and thrust washers
B16 Head, mild port and valve grind (OEM head gasket)
ITR cams w/ S2 cam gears (if i seal the deal on a trade)
Stock manifold TB injectors etc
Hytech header
WS2 exhaust
Whale ***** intake
B16 LSD tranny

Im hoping to get 170whp out of this setup, i think that is possible especially if i get the ITR cams, if not then it will be a bit tougher w/ my GSR cams.

Anyone have suggestions or advise about this build?
