Look at Jay's car ( the guy who bought my gsr block) he's got polished HX's. But no you rather ask people who are 1000 miles away and you don't trust the one who's 3 blocks away from you

Re: Polished HX's (MilanoRex)
ANY info on how to polish metal let alone just the lip? Is it just different sand paper combinations or is there some specific product you use or what?

(7:43 PM 11/1/2002) Airbag Club: heh, i did the polishing before i painted the rims, so i didn't worry about scraping the spokes. wut i did was first aircraft stripper the lip, to take off all of the silver paint which the wheel has. after that, i gathered a series of different grit sandpapers, and started sanding the lip. start with the smallest number and work your way up. i got lazy and left it at 200 grit, which is still very rough. i have been meaning to get back to work on the rims, but i have been too lazy. i also used a metal polishing compound, which gave the lip a little shine. hope this helps..
as for the center being gunmetal, i used duplicolor rim paint, and painted the center. i masked up the lip and the wheel and painted the center. it came out really nice IMO.

Re: Polished HX's (Airbag Club)
looks REALLY nice. May I suggest to someone doing this to also try steel wool. It will conform to the edges and curves a lot better. IF I had some HX wheels<hint hint anybody>, then I would do so.
