Re: (bLu92bUbbLe)
It happened to me when I was driving. Come to find out someone didn't tighten it down all the way and out it shot, ruined my hood and everything!

By the way, the comment about a bad plug seal also still holds. My post was to suggest that the seals can blow when there is excess pressure in the crankcase.

Yes, those seals may need to be replaced.

I agree with what's been said so far, but have to check. You mean the #4 plug WIRE, right?
Cause if it's the #4 PLUG that tore itself out of the head, then you might have other issues. Does the plug tighten down by hand (use the rubber hose trick) ok? Cause if you've damaged the spark plug threads, you might need to pull the head and apply a helicoil....and if any of the debris got down into the cylinder, that might cause other problems (that'snot as likely as head issues, though.)
I'm hoping it's the wire we're talking about here.

Well, the electrical noise might be from the plug losing electrical contact with the wire. Other than that, I agree with what's already been said - sounds like you're going to need new seals. Fortunately, that's probably gonna do it. I was afraid that you had somehow munched up the spark plus seat/threads area and were going to have a BIG problem. This (while not small) isn't THAT bad.

Re: (bLu92bUbbLe)
Someone mentioned this before and I'm not sure it was understood, or mabe it did. I'll say it though......
If the spark plug WIRE is popping out, check to see if the PLUG is tight. If the plug isn't tight, compression from the motor will leak past the spark plug threads causing the wire to pop out and hit the hood. If the spark plug will not tighten down all the way, then the threads in the head are stripped and a helicoil needs to be applied. If the plug is tight and the wire is popping out, then get rid of the POS aftermarket wires and put the factory ones back on. Good luck!

autolite is really manufactured for ford while as AC delco is for chevy. as far as hondas go, the cheapest NGK plugs and wires seem to work the best.
