Pls help with my Spoon Front Strut Bar!
I just received my package of Spoon bars from Florida (eehh...isnt there anthrax??? there )
All of the bars were fine:front and rear-tie bar
BUT
the Front Strut bar i know ( from pictures i've seen ) should be bent!
Question is.. i havent open the package but the bar looks uneven???
Yes, i know you should have bents to it can fit inside the engine bay...
but one end of the bar is more narrow than the other end???
Is it suppose to look like this or did they **** up my bar from shipping & handling?

I don't have one. my advice would be to contact the shipper, and see if they can verify that the product is in good standing.

Maybe there not real spoon bars there black market stuff.Spoon stuff is to high quality to just get bent in shipping, unless the ups truck ran it over.

Yea but it is the quality that spoon has and nospeed doesent have!
Tell me, just WHAT is this quality advantage that Spoon has over Neuspeed? For one thing, Neuspeed is extremely good quality. Second, when it comes to strut tower bars, there is little difference from one brand to the next UNLESS there is a difference in the fundamental physics of the designs. The Neuspeed is just as good as the Spoon, and costs a hell of a lot less.

You've seen a Neuspeed bar flex under pressure??? I can just picture you hanging onto the front of a car with the hood popped while a friend drives it on a road track at 90+ mph!!! Be serious man, what do you mean you've SEEN Neuspeed bars flex under pressure? Name one reason why the Spoon bar would flex LESS than the Neuspeed! Give me some hard facts and examples...until then, you're just blowing smoke.

hahaha i love when people get defensive in order to defend their products. i've seen people on this board calling spoon rims "CRAP" because rotas are so much cheaper. if you wanna cheap out and go rota, be my guest.
as for spoon bars, i really do think they are quite functional. more so than the neuspeed? i have no idea. all i know is i paid a good price for mine and i'm real happy with the construction and the performance. it fits really tight and holds rock solid. and if you do your homework you'd realize that there ARE fundamental differences to these two bars. neuspeed incorporates a 4-point system that bolts onto the front chassis of the car. pretty innovative i must say, but depending on the installation you might not net any gains from it. spoon bar brackets actually bolt onto the front strut towers of the car, thereby actually tying the strut towers tighter together. both do NOT achieve the exact same thing. yes they are both "front strut tower bars", but the spoon actually connects to the strut towers. so shut your mouth and know your role.
as for the question with the tapering, it should be evenly tapered and bent on both sides towards the strut tower. if there is anything that looks irregular, then something is prolly wrong with it. i took mine outta the box and it looked perfect to me. i cant say for sure whether something is wrong with your bar, but if you posted a pic i could tell you.

you actually want some flexing in a bar...it prevent you from warping your frame, and ripping out mounting bolts.
not alot...but some is necisarry

Re: Pls help with my Spoon Front Strut Bar! (ajchen)
Well went to my friends house last night and he had the Spoon front bar on! I put the bar in front of his bar and he could tell that it wasnt symmetrical? Earlier that day, i put the bar on to see if the fit-ment was right and it did fit! I took it off, b/c i still wanted to let my friend see it. ( it was still in the blue wrappingand thus i didnt want to leave it on ) My BAR's height is higher than my friends Spoon bar? I had another friend to look @ it he said the same thing! I was curious so i decide to put on the bar now! Again when i was tightening the bolt and screws, the right was a little bit off, but manage to fit! As i close my hood, the BAR didnt clear??Dang! I knew there had to be something wrong! Well it turns out from my friends opinion's that they told me to return the bar?
Later that night, our friend w/ the Type R showed up and i know he had the front bar! Well....guess.......my bar is FREAKEN different from his!
His is perfect align from left the right! Mine is totally off
Personally, i paid my earned money for this Spoon bar. And i feel like i didnt derserve what i bought! I dont know if its a manf. defect by Spoon or probably it was the mishandling off from Fex-ex. I received all my 3 bars in the original Spoon box ( 3 boxes seperate ) taped together with tape! From the looks of it I thought the boxes were damage! Does anybody shipped like that??? I dont really know so
I would like to here some feedbacks pls??
Well im going to give them a call in a couple of min's and talked to him about the situtation!
