Default PLM Fitment issue on B18C

I bought a PLM header to install on B18C on a EJ8 body.. I am getting fitment issues.. It's hitting the transmission Kindly please check the photos below

Is this a B-Series Header ?

The bolt and hole is not alligned but it's already hitting the trasmission

Another photo hitting the transmission

What are your suggestions ? Or is this the wrong header ?

BTW we arlready tried fitting in the bolts and hole on the pictures but the front part of the header is hitting the Rad fan.. sigh

Please help

interesting header. dont ever be afraid to chop out webbign in a transmission or block. theres alot of webbign to chop out and you would be fine. the flange does look like a b series. but seems more like a headach to deal with

All the B series 4-1 headers I've seen the tubes go almost perfectly straight down, not off to the side.

The "Narrow-style" header requires you to trim the radiator fan shroud. And depending on weather or not you have an OEM radiator, you may need to trim the fan blade tips like I did (aftermarket dual-core). My older Kiddracing version definitely didn't require any trimming of the block or anything crazy like that. It even easily clears the Type-R transmission brace.

Here is my Clutch Slave Cylinder clearance:

You will also have to trim the lower splash sheild if you still have it in place.

What you're talking about is an ITR replica. PLM (Private Label Mfg) has their own style, which is what OP posted.

i got this exact header, i had rad fan/shroud fitment issues but cut the plastic back just enough to clear and that was all clearance issues for me, b18c1, pre 94 teg ls trans w/cable-hyrdo conversion so my salve cylinder is vertical

That shouldn't matter. Is your header authentic, or a cheap repro?

fake..is it just better to return it and not even bother trying to install it even with the new rad/fan ?

Authentic what? All narrow headers are repros. RMF (sorry not AMR) went away many years ago. Also the original RMF narrow was noticeably different (and not exactly bolt-on) when compared to replicas.

Real RMF Narrow. Note 1 piece with collector angled downward which provides even better ground clearance. Also has rear hanger bracket, and 3-bolt flange that doesn't bolt up to OEM cat (no doughnut gasket).
