Default PLEASE URGENT HELP!!!!!STRUTS

hello my friend gave me some coilover shocks to put on some aftermarket shock/struts that i ordered for my 96 civic ex. but the struts on the front are poping out to much in the engine bay when it is lowered what the hell should i do? are the struts wrong or what? someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

What do you mean they're sticking too far out into the engine bay?

Struts go under the car.

Can you take a picture and post it up so we can get a better idea as to what you're talking about?

You have to put a washer under the rubber bushing on top of the strut. This should be the first thing on the strut beforeinstalling the spring and the top pillow. Also there should be another washer on the very top of the strut
