Default Please someone answer this really stupid question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read over and over that

Every single 1992 Civic is ALREADY pre-wired for VTEC!!!

Does that mean 1993, 1994, 1995 as well?

thanks,

I need to know.

Unfortunately, no! Just the 92's because I believe they were thinking of bringing the b16 here in the 92-95 hatches but decided against it. Please wait for some more posts.

Also: I'm not sure if it is just the 92 hb or all 92's.

Here's another really stupid question. When they say it's wired for vtec, what exactly does that mean. I'm asking because I'm getting ready to put a vtec head on my d15b7 and want to know if there's one less step I need to do because my cars already wired for vtec.

It means it has all the necessary wiring for VTEC on the chassis wiring harness.
Ur engine wiring harness will NOT Have the vtec wiring on it because.... well it has no vtec.

I installed a b18c on a 92 civc DX and all we had to add was a knock sensor and IAB. All the Vtec wiring stuff was present. (on the B18c and the chasis wiring).

U will need to either
1. Add vtec wires in the engine harness and link it up to the chassis harness.
2. Get and engine wiring harness of the same model but with an SOHC vtec.

just 92

and the cx would be ideal because of the vx o2 wiring hassle
Thank man. Well I guess this wasn't a stupid question after all

Some old dude in my work is selling a 1992 CX HB with 140K miles (white) for $3100)

So that would make a good base.....
