ok ive asked this befor but no1 could give me a real answer.i have a 94 del sol d16z6 it got turboed about 6 months ago,i took it to the track and on the first run my engine died.it was throwing 3 codes and blew the ecu fuse,i tryed to drive it home but every few miles i had to restart the engine.i got home and a buddy said to cut the o2 sensor wires ,after cutting the wires like an dumbass it only throw a code 41(o2 heater malfuction) but it was drivable.ive been trying to fix this for 6 months and no shop wants to help because of the turbo. oh and now it doesnt have vtec.
:d16z6 turbo 7psi ,vortech fmu,vafc,intercooler,bov,but stock fuel enjectors
could it be that i hit a fuel cut and blew every thing?please help me im running out of ideas and money.

stock ecu. also im a noob on the forum how till i can post more than 5 a day because i only have 3 post left after this. d16z6 came in the car stock so what ever ecu came with it .

only post when absolutely necissary, it will be about 2 weeks before you got rid of the trial status.


did you replace the ecu fuse? and why cut the o2 sensor wires? now you have to rewire it dont you.

i did replace the fuse at the track but it kept blowing so in exchange i kept replacing the fuse to get it home. y i had that many fuses in my car is a mystery.the reason i cut the wires is because a friend told me that if i cut the wires and it blew anouther fuse he would buy me a new harness(but it hasnt blow again to this day). anyways im good with wiring and i have the honda stock wirng diagram so rewiring it shouldnt be a problem.but the question is y all this happened?

your VAFC could be grounding out causing yout o blow a fuse.....bump for more help

were u detanating that chould be te answer u wernt tunned and fuel get a resistor pack and run 450cc with a walbro 255 fuel pump.

the vafc works fine but how would i know if it was grounded,and thanks for the idea about upgrading my fuel system ive been thinking about that 2 but i think 6-7 psi would be fine on stock injectors.if the injectors were the problem then that would be a easy fix.does any1 have any other ideas on what caused it?also when i run above 4-5k the second cylinder from the left stops firing,but when i let it idle for a few mins it goes back to normal.the last time it happened i pulled over and tested it by pulling out the plug wire , the engine didnt run any ruffer so it diffently stoped sending a spark well if u have any ideas please post them

try resetting the ecu and see if the code clears.

ive done that every time ive messed with it. tomarrows my only day off and i would love to fix this(seriously if some1 can help me fix this ill send them a zex kit the next day!)

you could try and put some better grounds on the motor, a buddy of mine had almost the same problem. Took him almost 2 weeks to figure it out. He ended up just re-wiring a few GOOD ground wires (shiny surface contact to frame/body) and getting better battery terminals and it was fixed. This may not be your problem but its a simple task and it cant hurt anyways. were you wheel hopping when it died the first time??
