Please Please !!HELP!! Please Please
Sorry for the title but i really need your help.
car: 93 honda civic hatchback
motor: JDM GSR
Problem: There have been two problems we have ran into have preforming the swap two weeks ago. First the idle has been fluctuating like a bitch when its cold. As the car warms up and is driven, the idle stabalizes, but at a high rpm. The second problem i have ran into was my car running so rich. When i am at a stop light i can see exhaust comming up from my back hatch and sometimes into my car(yuck) when i get on it the least bit(half throttle) I see black smoke poor out the back. I had changed the oil before we ran the car and ran an extra qt through the motor to get out any old oil still in there. I then drove my car to my dads house in orlando(150 miles) and by the time i had got there i had put in the past couple of days roughly 350 miles.....breaking in that clutch hehe. Anyways when i got to my dads and showed him the motor, he did not like how it was running so rich. He asks to check the oil and i told him we just had changed it before i came. As he pulle the dipstick out, the oil looked clear and fresh, but when he wiped it off on a paper towel, it was black with a watery tint to it. That was really odd to him because he said the oil dint look black, but it looked contaminated. We then changed it and drove about 5-10 miles and came back to check it. When we did, it looked just as black as it did before we changed it. We were like wtf? The oil only had ten miles at most on it!?! Then we smelled the oil and it smelled like gasoline!
Could there actually be too much fuel running through my system that some of it is actually not vaporizing and getting into my oil?
It is currently at honda right now and they are replacing the IAC and some hoses that I didnt have(but were not needed. They said they are not sure why it is running so rich, but could send a sample to a lab and find out! Hell no!
Depending on what they say tomorrow, I am going to pick up the car and try to find some who knows whats going wrong with it. The tech. said he can only work in stages, so he has to try certain parts to see if they work..........which costs me hella money and he doesnt even know if they will correct it.......money that i do not have right now!
Ok to wrap this up and sorry its so long, but what do you think is wrong? Could it be
bad fuel injectors?
bad o2 sensor? (we had to extend the wires and didnt soder them, but instead butt clamped them)
could the idle air control fix it?
Please let me know what you guys think, because it's like putting dirty oil in my engine and if ran for long enough, i will have a serious problem!
Ohh and one last thing, sorry this wasnt in the tech forum, but I thought i would try and get some responses from reliable people that i know are here on this forum
Sincerly,
Dylan

Re: Please Please !!HELP!! Please Please (Si-G93)
black smoke is fuel.
oil is gray.
I'm guessing it would be one of the sensors that causing your car to run rich and idle funny.
Idle problem could be fuel pressure, tps, iac, pcv, bad throttle body, or air in the coolant.
chances are that when you solve the idle, your fuel will be fixed also. Just won't know til it happens.

if there is wayy to much fuel goin in and it washes out the rings on the pistons, the answer is yes, oil mixed with gas.
translation - too much fuel bypasses the rings, goes right into the oil.

i see that you are in jax, fl. Have you heard of DFE enterprises? I've been chatting with a guy named Don for a few months now. He's given me a wonderful deal on parts to rebuild my old b16 and my current b18c1.
Try giving them a ring and see what they say.
