please please help obd1 b18c1 into a obd2 car
i'm swaping a 1994 b18c1 (there's no law in my state about doign so) into my 1997 civic hx. and i need help. is there anywhere online that lists how to wire up this swap. or dose anyone know how to go abotu wiring this, so far the only really major problem is the dist plugs, i've begun spliceing the wireing but i'm not sure about everything. it would be a big help if anyone had any info on this swap, thanks

i dont know how much info you are gonna find on the forum or online bout this. i think that the easiest way to swap it would be to get the complete engine harness, as well as the chassis harness and just use that so its basically a complete engine, ecu, tranny, and wire swap.. it might be easier than that tho..

bzzzz. wrong answer. integ wiring harnesses do not work on 96+ civics. get a 96-98 EX harness. u will have to change the distributor or just rewire the plug to OBD2 spec. real easy (15 min). u will need OBD2 injectors because the 94-95 GSR injectors use different plugs. not sure on the HX but u might need to add about 4 inches onto the front of the exhaust. GSR header is shorter. and u will need the 96-98 GSR ECU. u will also need the 99-00 SI upper drivers side block mount and 99-00 SI rear tranny mount. good luck, the swap should take just a day.

my car was a piece of cake. just count the wires and find the same colored wire. cut it and rehook it back up. its color for color. ie black/yellow goes to black/yellow, blue goes to blue, u get the picture. but b sure to count the wires first so they have the same amount. if for any chance they dont. go get a photocopy of the distributor wires for ur car and from the distributor that came witht the motor, u will know whichs ones u need.

What about the Skunk2 OBD-II to OBD-I adapter, doesn't that do most of the work for you? I have one that going into my swap, when ever the damn motor is put together!

Use a 96-98 Civic EX engine harness, get the ecu adapter harness to use your 95 GSR ecu. Swap the injectors and dist. Good to go.
