PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!
Ok I have a 96 Civic 2dr EX Automatic transmission and the button on the shifter is so fvking hard that I have cramps on my thumb and the palm of my hand. I can barely push it in anymore. Can any PLEASE tell me what I can do to fix this. Has this happened to you or anyone you know? How did they fix it? I REALLY REALLY need anyones help on fixing this. Its really taking over my entire hand LOL....Thanks alot!

OK, CALM DOWN. NO NEED TO SHOUT.
I suggest you repost with a title that at least provides a hint of your problem for better replies. Maybe something like "How to fix stiff auto shifter button?"
Just guessing here, but the auto trans has a shift interlock as I understand. Meaning your foot has to be on the brake before you can shift. Although this shouldn't prevent you from depressing the button, maybe something is mucked up. Is it dificult to depress in any gear? If so, the mechanical action may be messed up by dirt or broken/bent parts.

Yes it is on EVERY gear, no matter what. Should I take it all apart and clean it out? If so with what? Should I just spray some w-d40 or something in there??
