i instaled a h22 obd1 internal coil jdm in a civic 92 with p28 chipped for boost, my problem is that when i start the car it sounds like misfire, car chokes at idle and i didnt try to rev it, now i think i know the problem but i need to confirm. when i wired the distibutor the harnes from the civic was cut at the distributor plugs and all the 9 wires i believe were on one big conector because the car used to have a sir 1st gen in it, now i wired it up according to a manual i found and compared to another runnung h22 civic that was in my driveway, and all wires were done the same way, but on the cut harnes there was a black wire that was unused, i read somewere that this is a ground for the dizzy and i was told that if its not on that the car will tend to missfire or not start, so, were would the black wire go, and where do i wire it, cuz i dont see that wire in the wiring diagram that i printed!

btw ive tried stating the car with a p13 just to see, and same thing, so ive already ruled out the computer! thanks again

Try grounded that wire to the thermostat housing. That ground is the main Engine ground. It's pretty much the best ground on the car besides the battery. And see is the same thing happens

yeah, if that's not grounded, you're going to have issues starting.
