do what your talking about. sounds like your headed in a fun direction. you can drive on 9.1 compression until you get that turbo put on but you still have to tune it and itl be slow until you put the turbo on..is this what your asking? get eagle rods too.

well youl need a wideband unles you find someone that tunes with their own wideband. Dynos and shops will cost you about $300-800. Find some one that street tuneds and pay $100-200

Just 1mm? thats more than the max(.750mm), untill you go custom, I'm trying to figure out how 1 bolt messed up all your pistons, it must have been the cam sprocket bolt?, I think you need a new mechanic.
Not trying to be a dick but something sounds wrong, typically import pistons go .25mm at a time for oversize.

Re: please help...new pistons/rods
get stage 1 turbo cams from blox or skunk2. if you get bigger ones that your idle will sound too cool and you need cam gears and good tune and a dyno. just get type r cams...i heard tony1 just uses cams just like type Rs

How much are you planning on boosting it? I would also look into getting better head studs and possibly a better head gasket.
The most crucial part of going boosted is getting a good quality tune... It seems odd that software could be so important but in all honesty proper engine management will make the difference between a fun boosted car and a blown engine.

Re: please help...new pistons/rods
yea i was looking at the skunk2 stage 1 turbo cams...when i do turbo my car i am going to have a 400hp goal. probably running a garrett t3/t4 60 trim. so i need cams that will work well with my piston/rod setup and everything. i am not looking to make power now i just want to go ahead and get the stuff done right since its broken down. and turbo will be after christmas hopefully.

Re: please help...new pistons/rods
i know it man. im in college and im going to have to take out a loan or something to pay for this. hopefully i will get a job when i go back in august. but yes thanks for the opinions....i think i am just gonna go ahead and get the skunk2 stage2 turbo cams and get springs, retainers, and cam gears. that is, as long as they will be ok for a while without boost. i just dont wanna waste money on something and then have to change it out again. thats the reason i am going ahead and getting the 9:1 pistons.

Re: please help...new pistons/rods
Props on the Eagle rod choice!(CP pistons are good too), the only problem with running "racing" valve springs on a dd is that it puts alot of wear on your rockers where they come in contact with the cam.
The wear is even greater with a big cam(non-stock), my only concern is that by the time you install a turbo your rockers will be shot.
I would stockpile all the parts and install them all at once.
I understand your in a pickle because your car is broke, IMO buy a piece of crap dd, till your ready to build your honda.

Re: please help...new pistons/rods
I was gonna mention taking a small loan will boost your credit...if you pay it back on-time.
The problem with the loan is from my exp. the car will break before you pay it off and you will be in the same boat but now you got a loan to pay.
