its been atleast three months since i swapped my d16z6 into my 97 hatch. from the start it was a challenge since, i was going from obd2a to obd1, 3 wire to 2 wire IACV, and the rewiring the dizzy. i did my research and figured most of it out. the car started up but ran slug-gish and sloppy. it would idle up and down and the check engine light would come on every now and then. i fixed what ever i could then the check engine light stop coming on and the car was running alittle better.

just today the code 9 (cyp) came on again. when it drives it feels werid as hell. its as if the timing would jump.

i got the dizzy wires all right but its as if they are not getting a strong enough signal. WHAT TO DO?

What ECU are you using? What is your ignition timing set at?

im using the p28...and how do you check the ignition timing? if its with a timing gun i alreay did that...it looks to be off my alittle bit to the right
