Check your spark plugs, the wires, cap, rotor, the simple stuff. Those arent it go with ignitor and coil. Changing the dist. would be the eaisest.

are you sure your getting spark in all the cylinders? check your distributor or even the valves on the head, if there bent even a little the car wont start. did you upgrade something in the engine or something?

I just changed out the cap, rotor, plugs, wires. I was told maybe the ignition coil so I took my distr. off and the outer casing of the ignition coil is cracked and the little spark thingie is kind of burned up. Could that be the reason?

Forgot to mention when I was changing the spark plugs I had alot of oil around the spark plug in number 4. What could be causing that?

Re: Please help me start my car. Vid inside... (Jameson)
YES!!!! the coil burned and cracked is a defininate problem, if it isnt causing the car to not run, surely its arcing over to the ignitor and hurt it too.....very common, also the oil i number 4 must be taken care off, causes misfires,a nd over works the coil......sound like a chain reaction maybe? the cause is the valve cover spark plug tube seals. they come with a good quality valve cover gasket. so redo the valve cover gasket and tube seals and bolt grommets, and new coil, check the ignitor in the dizzy for signs of damage by the busted coil

I just ordered a new coil so we'll see if that is the definate problem so I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one because lack of funds is killing me on fixing this.

if u have lots of oil in ur number 4 plug then pull the valve cover and add some sealant to the little rubber grommits that are in there. its a pretty common thing..

Re: (Jameson)
Ignition coil came in today and nothing happened. It still sounds like how it is in the video. Although it sounded like it wasn't getting enough power so i tried to jump it and it sounded alot better then it sort of made like a cough sound every now and then. I'm all out of ideas on what to do. Please help me get my car back
