first let me say hi to evreyone and thank you for your time to look at this:

-well when i turn the wheel is makes like a clunk noice and the wheels dont turn. me and my dad raise the car from the bottom of trans. and my dad turn the wheel staright to get it in the house. look where the problem is and here is the picture :




the part that connects to the shaft and the steering wheel inside spins by it self with out the part where it connects in the rack and pinion (the part circle) do i need to replace???

any help really helps!! than you in advance

there splines that insert into the universal joint. If the splines are gone...you know the rest...you need to replace the rack or go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and see if you can buy the shaft with the splines.

They have a rebuilt parts page too.

that's for a 93 hatch but you can get the idea.

and this really sucks because i had gone to get some gas and i was waiting for my dad because we were goign to go take the car to the paint shop. bummer

what are the splines?? the ones where the two parts i ciecle interact with each other?? thank you for you response by the way

Splines are like what's on the axles.

You can also buy rebuilt racks at auto parts stores.

DO a search for them on the web.
