please help me
hi,
i have swapped a zc dohc in my eg and when i connect the battery with the key out of the ignition the dashboard lights stay on. when i turn the key nothing happens literally nothing works.
things i have done on the car:
- my hatch was carburated so i bought a complete obd1 mpfi wiring loom(inside of the car and the engine loom) and installed in my hatch
-the ecu plugs where cut off but the owner gave me the same plugs and i soldered them again
-the injector plugs where cut off so i soldered the obd0 injectors with resitor box .
and i did the swap that's all.

Re: please help me
You are asking for help when you have a hodge podge of stuff going on under your hood.
We cant see any of it so we can only go on what you have given us.
The obvious spark, fuel, grounds etc...
We see too many of these chopped up harness swaps going on because of stupidity, and impatience.
As long as swaps have been going on, they have become plug and play over the years.
Why kids think they can just do things half assed is beyond me.
That just leads to trouble later on.
You'll have to either find someone who is familiar with honda electricals or back track your work.
Find an electrical service manual online and start chasing.

Hi dirty19,
I understand what you're saying but where i live certain Honda parts are hard to find.
so in my case i had to use the chopped up wiring.
I'll just do what you said and try to solve the problem myself, if I can't i'll just look for a Honda electrician.
Thanks
