Please Help JDM B16 Issue's
ok here it goes.
Ok i have a 98 hx coupe. I swapped a LS motor in 20K miles later got rid of that and swapped a jdm b16 in. During both motor's i kept it OBD2. But with this JDM motor it was a obd1 motor and ECU so they put my ls distributor on it and told me when i get ready to get my emission done switch back to the OBD 2 Ls ECU. Now when i got ready to do the emission that morning i put in the LS ECU i drove it for i don't know 20-30 miles, and got a check engine light for misfire 1 thru 4 and ignition malfunction. So when i put the B16 ECU in i don't have a check engine light. But now it idles(flucuate's between 850-1300 rpm) funny with that B16 ECU. Could the LS ECU have done something to the timing of the motor, and i also have spark knock too. But far as performance i dont feel anything wrong. Motor is completely stock.
Thanks for any kind of help

sounds like the dizzy doesnt match the ecu. I would pull out all three dizzy bolts and see if you can get the timing right even if the mounting bolts dont line up. see if that helps. otherwise why not get a obd2 vtev ecu?
