PLEASE help with engine swap
ok here is my question/problem. I currently have the stock d15b7 in my 92 civic sedan. The crank broke so I'm doing a swap. I want to drop in the 92-95 ex si motor d16z6. I was told the only thing i will have to change is the ecu. I don't know if the tranny and axles and everything will match up tho. If anyone knows what can and cannot interchange with this swap and can tell me the information please do. Once again I'm throwing out the d15b7 for the d16z6 and wondering what if anything i will have to change. Like the transmission ecu, etc. Thanks

Re: PLEASE help with engine swap (92lxsedan)
you can use your tranny but will have different gearing than the z6 tranny. all should be plug and play. You will need the z6 ecu for vtec etc. just run all the vtec wiring and you're good to go

Re: PLEASE help with engine swap (salbaje)
What is the easiest way to wire the vtec solenoid. Isn't there the ground and then one wire goes to the ecu?
EDIT: I am putting the Z6 in my car soon. We are putting a new flywheel and stage 2 clutch in. My boy has the same and it pulls HARD.

Yes, you using the EX/SI engine harness? If you are, you will only have to run (from the chassis connectors) the Vtec solenoid to A4 and the Vtec pressure switch to D6. The black wire (on the Vtec pressure sensor) to the Thermostat ground. If not, you have to run the wire directly to the ECU. Is you hatch an VX, CX, or DX? If it is a CX or VX, you will have to wire up a four wire o2 sensors.
yel/blk - A25 - 12V switched
org/blk - A6 - O2 heater control
grn/wht - D22 - sensor ground
wht/red - D14 - O2 signal wire
