Default please help: del sol totaled, what will the insurance company pay me?

my 93 del sol si was hit and totaled on monday morning. i would like to have an estimate if anyone could come up with a rough idea of what the insurance company will pay me for it... it is really bothering me, as i am worried the insurance company will take me for a ride and leave me with a lot less than i could have sold the car for. i bought the car last nov. for 6400$ here is a run down of specs, i do not have reciepts for most of the work since it was either performed before i purchased, or i bought it used.
93 del sol si
repained july 02 (ebp)
kaminari kit
4 new tires (2 months old)
aem intake
tanabe exhuast
cd changer
new brakes (still under warrenty)
new clutch (still under warrenty)

car has 122k miles currently. before the accident it was in great shape. deffinitely the nicest del sol in my area, and i have many pictures from all angles to prove this. the interior was in perfect shape, as was the exterior. i am just afraid the insurance company will try to give me like 3500$ for the car, which will barely cover what i still owe on the car. can anyone offer any helpful ideas?

I knew a guy that was in a similar situation and since he had pictures of everything to prove that he owned certain things and had certain things done to his car, the insurance company paid him for those parts.

Will your insurance company do that for you? Only one way to find out...

Well BLue book tade in vaules is 3500-5500 so I would expect the insurance company to give you something in the that range. As fars as the mods if you have recipts you might get something back on it but I would not count on it, hopefully they will give you enogh to pay off your loan... good luck!

thank you, it really is a shame for the car, it was a very beautiful machine. i know it is hard to say, but i didnt know if anyone has recently found themselves in a similar situation as me. i am in the process of settling with the insurance company, i just wanted to try to get a ball park figure to help me out on shopping for my next car, since they havent given me a dollar number yet.

yeah they will give you the value of your car. And some insurance companys require that you pay for the added coverage of your aftermarket stuff. You need picturtes and recipts of the stuff to put you on your way of claiming your aftermarket.

I dont think you would get 6.4K for it. Paint job is more than a year old so good luck there. You may get money back on the newer stuff like tires, brakes and clutch if you have the receipt to prove it is recent. As long as you dont expect to get what ypu paid, you will make out okay

If you give me the vin #: I can tell you exactly what they will offer you. I work for a insurance company, and have the evaluation software they will use to do their estimate. If you don't want to post it PM me.

read your policy. Comprehensive coverage usually allows for coverage up to a certain amount (mine is $1000) for aftermarket. Any additional coverage for aftermarket will raise your premium, but its too late to do that now. Read your policy, most people don't and the insurance companies know that, and they capitalize on your ignorance...

Like what he said above you'll get blue book plus probably $1000 for all of your aftermarket parts. I got $6300 for my 93 si ITR swap, tein ss, ACT clutch and flywheel, rsr catback, Mugen Header, ITR interior and lots of other miscellaneous parts. Good Luck with your insurance hopefully you will buy something else with whats left after you pay off your loan.

Typically when a car is totalled, they give you what it's worth, and give you the option to buy it from them for 10% of what they are giving you.

They will usually give you what it's worth, or very close to what you owe on it if there is a lein. I think it's an obligation, like they are required to pay off a certain percentage of your lein. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. ?
