PLEASE HELP!! COOLING ISSUE
Ok look I know this has been brought up and writted about a million times but I have a bit of a more special case when it comes to my rad/cooling system.
So to start with the beginning. I have a 2000 si D16y8 as my DD...blew holes in the block and got a quick swap out of an el (1.6 D16y8 aswell) reason being I work everyday I needed a quick solution. Now everytime I check the oil there is no coolant mixing and vice versa. My car started overheating with my oem rad so I went mishimoto did the themo and fanswitch. Nothing....The car still over heats and now when im in traffic or pushing the car coolant spews out of the cap and sprays my engine bay leaving this residue. Also my fan does not turn on what so ever so for now i have the fan switch looped with a paperclip.
I was wondering what could the issue be? Could the head gasket still have a pressure leak even though coolant and oil are not mixing?
And also for the fan not turning on... Honda told me its the ecu...since im still running the Si ecu and the motor I have now came out of an automatic el. (my car is manual if that contributes to anything).
If someone can please help me figure this out I would be so grateful!

Re: PLEASE HELP!! COOLING ISSUE
This situation is no different than any other overheating/coolant issue.
Instead of wondering how about things how about we start confirming? Did you do any tests to see if exhaust gases were getting into your coolant? Any leakdown tests? Don't see where you bled the system of air. Also fix the fan issue. You should also run the ECU for the engine in your car. In short, fix all known deficiencies.
