PLEASE HELP!! Can't turn key in ignition
I drove my car( 92 hatch ) to get some lunch yesterday and when i came out i tried to put the key in and start the car....well it will go half way to the first position, just enough to freely turn the wheels and that's it. the key will not go any further. i turned the wheels every way possible and still nothing. i was going to pull the ignition crap out and just use a toggle switch to turn on the accessories and then use a push button to start.....then i was going to buy one of those steering wheels with the quick releases( racing steering wheel ) on them to prevent theft can anybody tell me which wires i need to hook up to the toggle switch and to the push button. thanks a lot in advance.

Re: PLEASE HELP!! Can't turn key in ignition (odd22004)
sure did....it is scary knowing that i never done anything like this in my life and it took me less than 3min to start my car with a screwdriver....i went outside and looked at the back of the ign switch and found which wires do what
Beige=Battery
Beige/Black=Acc
Black/Yellow=IG1
Black/White=Starter
Yellow=IG2A
So with this wiring how can i rig it up with a toggle switch and push start
This would be my guess:
Toggle:
Beige on one side
other side would be:
Beige/Black
Black/Yellow
Yellow
Push Start:
Beige on one side
Black/White on the other
