Please help

Can somebody please help me. I have a 95 honda civic dx, I just put a new block in it but now it wont start all the way up. I cant get any spark from the plugs, i cant even get a spark from the coil, ive tried 3 different ones(not new)but still cant get anything. So i got my test light to make sure its getting power and it is, but still no spark. Somebody pleas help thanks.

Re: Please help

Use a multimeter to ohm test the coil and to check whether 12.5V reaches the distributor.

So what just the red one on the + and black on the -?

The voltage test would be red on + (the black-yellow wire going into the distributor) and black on ground.

I have found ohm tests of a coil to be fraught with false negatives (they tell you the coil is good when it is actually bad).

In my experience, the coil Ohm test is highly reliable when done correctly. mk is absolutely fantastic with tech but he and I have debated this issue for years.

mk, how do you perform the coil Ohm test? Perhaps we can resolve this minor dispute with a discussion.

[I really don't expect a response because mk typically will not engage in forum discussions. :(]
