Please explain a catilitc convert to me :)
Hey guys ... I have a rattle comming from my cat. it goes away after it heats up though .. I know a cat works better the hotter it gets but What the hell is going on in there ?

the catalyst is all broken up and rattling.
when it gets hot, it expands, and the rattle stops.
get a new *****

Ok well answer this for me then ... If i put one of those "bomez" 60 dollar "cats" I know its a shinny test pipe... on my Tanabe RM exhaust is it gona be loud as hell ? !

yeah if you put a test pipe in place of the cat, your car will be louder. however if you want to save some money you could try taking off your car, and removing the stone that's inside of it and put it back on.

Free fix/mod:
*Un bolt cat
*Insert Crow Bar
*Flip upside down and drop on crow bar till all the crap comes out
*Reinstall empty cat
*OBD2 cars will now throw a CEL code
*I didn't tell you this

Haha ....thats great!!! And I dont know why your car hasnt thrown a code...the 2nd 02 sensor should be going crazy...are you sure you still have the MIL lighbulb in??

If you have no cat, you will throw a code.... that second O2 is there for a reason.

it might have something to do with the fact that my motor is running kinda lean. i've got the jg edelbrock victor x manifold and i haven't upgraded my fuel pump to an integra pump. still runnin the EX pump. but everything is plugged in and working correctly. i don't know why it's NOT throwing a code
