Plastic Rear tail gates EG6
Hi all
i did try a search but i could only find info about CF ones.
Im after the rear tail gate for a EG6 hatch, but im not keen on the cf one as i think its a bit too ott CF, but i want the weight saving, so im trying to find a plastic FRP one.
I know J's racing do one buts its like £280 (about $500) whcih is stupid as you can get CF ones for like $300-400...
Im planning on painting it, and it just seams a waste to get a cf one just to spray over it, do you guys know of anyhwere that makes cheaper plastic ones?
Or should i stop moaning and just get a cheap cf and spray it
Many thanks

all I can say is spend your money elsewhere
One of the big brake kits fastbrakes offers is 20lbs lighter for just the font and you'll stop alot better and since it's a drop in rotating weight it's alot better for acceleration and handling as well.

Re: Plastic Rear tail gates EG6 (e9)
I can see you point, and i will be looking into that as well, as im running nsx calipers on the front and the disks weight a ton lol
However i wanted to upgrade the tail gate to a jap rear number plate, and thought i might as well save some weight here while im at it.
Thanks

how did they get the brakes to be negative weights? is that even possible in the realm of physics to hav negative weight?
