Default Planning on preping my car out to be painted.. need ideas??

Im pulling my car in the garage and prepping it out to get repainted. I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions or knows any websites to go to to get helpful info.?? Im goin back to the granada metallic black . I mainly need info on the important part which is sanding. What grit should i start out with and what different grits should i work with? Any suggestions will help.

400 grit. And a da sander will help alot. If you are doing body work then the best thing to do is when it is primed take some black spray paint and dust the whole car with it. This will showw any hidden dents. I just did my car granada black with a twist to it. also do not be afraid to take some places down to the metal. also any diffrent colors under the paint are bondo so keep sanding that portion that there is any bondo so you can see what you are working with.

also when you get it primed wet sand the whole car so that the paint sticks better and it will give you a better finish. and make sure to tape up things real good.

320 or 400 on a da be careful though if you have no experience with one you can get things wavy in a hurry. Otherwise 400 wet by hand with a boardsander will keep the body the straightest.

I have a few minor dents to straighten out and plan on gettin her smoothed up. I have no experience with a DA sander so i guess i prolly shouldnt mess with one. What i wanna do is start out with the right grit sand paper and wet sand it down by hand or with a block. Im also wondering what is the easiest way to get my front fenders down to bare because im gettin moisture under my paint and its causing my fenders to wanna rust. Anyways , just lookin to do a good job and do it right.
