The plan (Opinions welcome!)
OK so I think i know what my 00 Si. I want it to remain a dailiy driver for when I build the turbo hatch. I have a 95 JDM GSR complete bottomend in my garage, and a 3 piston b16 in there as well. The Si has a b16a2 in it as well, but here is what I am thinking about doing, and I want go get opinions on this. Put the b16 head on the GSR bottomend and toss in some JDM ITR pistons to up compression some. OR I can stick with the p72 pistons in the block. Just swapping this head ont he block I figure would net me 10.2:1, I could be completely wrong. What would the compression be with the JDM ITR pistons? Finally add some ITR cams up top. The deck height for the GSR motor is taller than the b16 so my b16 header wouldnt work would it? Oh almost forgot, would I want to stick witht he b18c rods or would I want to stick with some ITR rods? Let me know what you think and your opinions. Thanks.

Re: The plan (1337 Si)
if you want to go all motor with OEM parts, i'd say go with CTR pistons instead of ITRs. 10.2 compression is kinda low for all motor... If you decide to get ITR cams, get the newer ones that are equal to CTR cams.

where'd you come across a 3 piston B16!?!??!

http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php for calculating your compression. Looks like about 11:1 with that combination.
The B16 header will not work on the B18 block/B16 head setup.
Stick with the B18C1 rods. They are identical to the B18C5 rods.
Good luck.

Re: The plan (Das Schmoo)
Yea, you are right that does seem like a good combo that is for sure. Next question would be should I go with stock bore of .25mm overbore? Not sure on the mileage on the bottomend, but everything is tight as tight can be.

Re: The plan (1337 Si)
I've seen some shops in Toronto do this, GSR bottom with B16 up top. It's pretty close to a C5 except the flow rates are a little less. As for the deck height I think its 15mm difference between the two, so no the B16 headers won't fit. But why wouldn't you just buy some ghetto fabulous type-r knockoffs to throw on there.
As far as I know the part number for the connecting rods is the same on for B18C1's and B18C5's
GSR- 13210-P72-000
ITR - 13210-P73-000
Good Luck

Re: The plan (BigJ5)
See that is another thing. I am unsure of the miles on the bottomend so I may have to g with some .25mm overbore. Sleeves are smooth but I cannot see any of the crosshashing.
