Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
When you find a T3/T4 turbo setup for $1000...let me know. Engine repaint? What? Engine rebuild? $500? yeah...OKAY. Drag radial tires? Yes run those on the street...good job And you're gonna have two sets of wheels? What attacks in the front, and slips in the rear? And you don't care how the car handles, you just want it to look good?
Here's my advice dude...just stick with a stock del sol for now. Do minor exterior mods (decent drop on some nice springs/coilovers with new struts), I/H/E, a set of wheels with some AVS or Azenis, and then go from there. Worry about power adders once you've grasped the concept of modding your car.

t4? Sounds like you'll need alot of Rpm's to get that moving... maybe I'm wrong.
Sounds like a cheap setup, but then again I have no idea about prices there.
Keep us updated once you buy and start working on it.
good luck

I think your prices you are counting on are a little low. You cannot get a T3/T4 setup for 1000 bucks. Also, go with a 3 inch exhaust, and not the TCS, you want a free flowing exhaust for a turbo setup. Other than that, it works for me. Best of luck with your project.

for a good simple suspension, get progress sport springs on koni yellows. thats what i have on my sol and its a great setup.
also i would forget about the seats, save some money and put it into the motor. i would swap in a B series but thats just me (the d16z6 will be high mileage, why rebuild when you can go bigger and low mileage).
you are also forgetting a new clutch, and perhaps lightened flywheel while you are in there.
those prices you listed are going to be way on the low end.

Re: Plan for my delsol, read it over, give some insight. (BauleyCivic)
ok bauley. can you read?
1. budget turbo setup. plus, i have access to a t3 for $100 from a friend.
2. you can run drag radials on the street.
3. wheels say OR, not AND.
4. engine repaint? yeah. i wanna paint the head and valve cover, and clean up the block, as well as replace some seals and gaskets.
5. honestly, i dont care if i can pull .98g's on a skidpad. i want to lower my car to eliminate the wheel gap. im not going to auto'x it, if i was going to do that i'd buy a 240sx or something.
trust me, i understand the concept of modding my car.
jayson, good point about the clutch and flywheel. i was planning on getting seats, becasue more often than not seats in a 95 car for $3000 are poop. i rather wait on that, and get the motor running perfect. good call.

im not planning on swapping all the parts, mainly replacing gaskets, seals, etc. not pistons, etc.
its more of an "in-depth tuneup"

Alright, you slightly owned me. I'll give you that However, you still didn't say anything about the engine rebuild for $500 bucks...
Also, you don't want to run drag radials on the street. They wear out in less than 2k miles. Sure you can do it. You can also drive your car with your feet if you want to, that doesn't make it a good ******* idea though does it?
Honestly a T3/T4 is going to take wayyy too long to spool up on your D16Z6. If your going with a budget turbo setup, why dont you go to your junkyard and rip a 14b off of some DSM, or even invest in a gReddy it (Ricey can praise that enough for ya).
And trust me, you want your car to handle. I'd recommend a GC/Koni setup, that way you can handle great for not too much money and raise or slam your **** whenever you want.

Here I am to praise the Greddy kit for ya. I like mine all to hell, but spend considerably more than 1000 bucks on the thing. Works great for me and got me into he high 13s at 10psi.

T3 or T4 turbo on a D16...that's funny.
I'm not a huge fan of the D-series, but I think that the ideas you have are good, but that before you go through with this kind of thing, you need to do a little more research. But yeah, I think that it is a good plan on the whole. Sounds like some people are finally starting to make some of these del Slows fast.

Re: (explosive)
ok, got me on the rebuild, we're even now.
im stuck between drag radials and some set of falken tires. i need the happy medium between wear and grip.
as for handling, before my old sol got crushed by a suv, see here i had ebay special coilovers, $98.
they did just what i wanted, lowered the car. i never took them beyond their limits. but whatever, reccomend me a good spring shock combo for ~$500 and i'll go with that.
as for the turbo... the eclipse turbo is a good idea, but probably costly, what does a yard normally charge for one?

Re: (jbell)
Falken Azenis are the best dry weather tire you can buy though, although they do wear quick...not NEARLY as quick as drag radials. Read this: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=673688
I have ebay coilovers as well...arospeed ownz me. I agree that they do the job. Some cheap 2" lowering springs would NOT do the job...
You can get a set of GC's or Skunk2's for about $300, or get shittier Arospeed for like $150 like I did. They work the same, but I doubt have the durability of skunk2 or GC. Shocks you can go with KYB AGX, Tokico Illumina, or Koni Yellow. Tokico and KYB are good and around $250 a set, Koni's I believe are a bit more expensive and better than the rest
You could probably grab a DSM turbo for under $100 bucks. Have you read any writeups from http://www.homemadeturbo.com ? Make sure you do that...really good info...almost convinced me to do a turbo kit

Sorry to see your old sol crunched. Glad you're ok and sticking with the sols!! I went round and round on whether I wanted coilovers and I'm never going to adjust my height, but I am going for the handling aspect more too though. Went with Progress 2.3 springs and tokico illumina shocks. I am planning on setting it up to pull over a full G Good luck on your project. And yes, the suspension parts are the same, just make sure the shocks are for the 92-95 civic, you don't want to have to change your lower control arms.
