Default Piston/Rod combo - advice/opinions

I finally got my tax return and it's time to buy the pistons and rods for my LSVtec Turbo setup (see link in signature). I'm going for 400-500whp with lower boost.

Let me know what you guys think of this deal, and are these rods going to be okay

Have you checked the sponsors on here? I think they might be a little cheaper

I haven't checked, I will have to look into that. 785$ seems like it's a fairly good price for pistons and rods, but I'll look into the sponsors now. Thanks, any other input?

Wiseco, JE, and some companies use different alloys from SRP. It's stronger but has a higher coefficient of expansion. It's fine, especially considering it's only an 81mm piston, but SRP (cheaper line of JE) use the same alloy as cast OEM pistons so they expand less, meaning a tighter p2w clearance, and should last a little longer. Not sure if they're good for that much power though.

I always heard CP pistons were good and one of the only pistons which clearances are always within a thousandth of an inch, I want to say.

What are FR rods? Have you done ANY research? Did you check any of the links that have been posted? Define "cheaper". What is your budget?
