Default Piston Rings

Ok well i bought a motor and the guy started to disassemble it.
but i was wondering do i have to change the piston rings? what if they look fine? im not sure. can anyone help put some insight to this cause i have been searching for like 3 hours.


what are your guy's opinions on these?

how many miles are on the engine? What size is the engine? The owner before you started to disassemble it?

Dang i for got.

Engine is a d16z6
Miles (not sure) I asked him.
yea cause he was gunna part it out but i wanted it when it was done already i mean he had one piston out and everything is like kinda looses.

i was just gunna clean it up and change rings and buy all new gaskets.

I have used NPR rings in a 96 civic ex, they worked fine.

Sweet are the pistons anygood? i was thinking N/A high comp but then i remembered ima go turbo so nvm on the pistons but thanks ima get em!
BTW anymore opinions on these? ima do some searching on em right quick.

not much like 170 whp just to daily but have some speed you know.
and kill some b series but thats it im going to boost but not till later maybe 3 months? and since cali we only have 91 im not sure if thats safe torun with 12.3:1 cr ( from the compression calculator)
