Pissed...cant remove the damm stereo.

Well since i have a 4 day weekend i opted to do some mods that ive been waiting on a while. One of them is the amber climate to match all my amber interior. Until my damm stereo wont come out. I freaken tried everything and it wont budge. Pissed cuz now i cant finish my amber interior. And i dont want to break the radio cuz i need it...LoL. Any help or pointers to remove this? Its a aftermarket kenwood stereo.

That Kenwood unit usually comes out with Kenwood's removal tools.

Also, if this install was done by someone else, you want to make sure they did not screw the unit into a bracket in the back or side. Since this is a Honda, they shouldn't have.

The underdash panel would need to be remove to see if they did.

try sliding a butter knife into each side of the cage to hit the release tabs if you dont have the keys.

if all else fails, run by your nearest stereo shop and ask if they can pull it out for you.. they more than likely will have the keys for it....
