pin stripe removal?
im trying to take off the black and silver pin stripes on my 96 civic. what can i use to take off the nasty gooey stuff thats left ? i heard you can use rubbing compound has anyone heard of anything like this ..... Aloha

look for some adhesive remover, i helped a friend take his off with that stuff. the only thing bad when removing pin stripes is that it leaves a line where you took it off since the paint wasn't exposed to the sun as much as the rest. good luck

I did this a few weeks ago to my 92hb, nice old pinstriping. We used bug and tar remover, the foaming type and just let it sit for like 30 seconds then scrubbed the stuff off. then gave a nice carwash to make sure the stuff didnt remain on the car.

some Auto stores carry a tool its a big Eraser that fits on to a drill it takes the pinstripe and goo off in one shot. Very easy to do no Chemicals on your paint
