Pin Strip Decal
hey so yesterday i was washing mah car and i decided to take off the pin strip decal thingy...and at first the left front and door panel came off fine then the right side and back left side where the gas thingy is .....leaves a residue and like its tough to take off....i tried Goo Gone and other ***** but nothing will make it come off....
wat should i do?? rubbing alcohol?

The goo gone should work if you use enough of it.
Try to use some cooking oil or something that will
get rid of the stickynes of the pinstripe.

I don't know if I would risk using rubbing alcohol on my car - I like the paint on it too much. How much did you rub on the residue? When I took the del Sol sticker off my car it took a good deal of rubbing to get it all off. Try using something different. I believe the stuff I used was called "Bug and Tar Remover" and it had a slight scent of citrus which was safe for paint if you washed it off shortly thereafter.

after I bought my used 98 hatch I took off the rear civic and cx emblems. I was only able to get off a 1/3 of the glue. This was back in june/july. last week I took a heat gun and some isoproply alcohol and took the rest off. there were no signs of paint comming off on the cotton ***** I used to rub the glue off with. after I did that I just gave the area a quick wax. try that.
