The goo gone should work if you use enough of it.
Try to use some cooking oil or something that will
get rid of the stickynes of the pinstripe.

I don't know if I would risk using rubbing alcohol on my car - I like the paint on it too much. How much did you rub on the residue? When I took the del Sol sticker off my car it took a good deal of rubbing to get it all off. Try using something different. I believe the stuff I used was called "Bug and Tar Remover" and it had a slight scent of citrus which was safe for paint if you washed it off shortly thereafter.

after I bought my used 98 hatch I took off the rear civic and cx emblems. I was only able to get off a 1/3 of the glue. This was back in june/july. last week I took a heat gun and some isoproply alcohol and took the rest off. there were no signs of paint comming off on the cotton ***** I used to rub the glue off with. after I did that I just gave the area a quick wax. try that.

WD-40 worked good for me. i think it helps if you apply heat to it also...use a blow dryer
