Pilot bearing grinding?
Anywhere above about 7ooo RPM's with my car, I get this horrible grinding noise. It sounds like a mishift grind, but it does it all the way up there. It does it in neutral, out of neutral, when the clutch is in, and when its out. The owner of a local shop rode around the track parking lot tonight, and the only thing he could think of was the pilot bearing. Anyone ever seen anything like this?
You can't even hear the noise unless you're inside of the car, and he was dead sure it was something w/ the tranny.
The clutch was replaced when I had the motor out of the car with an ACT street disc and heavy duty pressure plate, stock flywheel. I don't think we replaced any bearings when my friend did the clutch.

You should of changed the pilot bearing and the throw out bearing when you changed the clutch. The pilot bearing is on the flywheel.
