pillow ball mounts
hey guys hav a quick question since im about to get sum coilovers. i see on PasswordJDM.com that the Pillow Ball Mounts are optional. i have a couple questions that i will probably get flamed for. First, wtf are pillow ball mounts? lol and second (two part question), what is thier benefit to having them, and do i REALLY need them? tia

Pillowball are the seats that sandwich between the top of the shock and the cars actual shock tower. The stock ones reduce vibration. Generally when a new coilover has them it is a metal one for more road feedback.

Depending on what suspension you are going to get, I would ask around to see who is actually using the ones you want. If you want a "slammed" look I know the Buddy Clubs may not be the best because I have a set on my EJ8 and they go only so low with the pillow ball mounts. I heard you can swap the stock ones on but I haven't gotten around to trying that yet. As far as other brands I would do a search or ask around.

thanks again for the input Yea i have an ej8 i was going to use Tein Basic Coilovers on it and probably drop it until it was just above the wheel, just enough to avoid fender rub. any1 have these coilovers? any feedback on the quality?
