Default Pictures needed of y8 mani swap onto y7

I am in the middle of swapping my y7 intake mainfold out for the y8 and was wondering if someone could take some pictures for me of where the hoses go that are on the bottom of the throttle body. There are 2 nipples there and I'm not quite sure where they go. Just looking for some close up pics. Thanks guys, its greatly appreciated.

You can just run a loop of hose between the two if you aernt worried about your cold idle. I'll check on it tomorrow, but I'll let you know asap!

If your talking about the coolant hoses on a Y8 throttle body. Don't route any to the throttle body, just bypass it and run one hose from the small nipple on the intake flange to the idle motor. Those stock hoses just heat up the throttle body and put more heat into the manifold.

Marauder, are you saying to just cap off the 2 nipples on the TB and not use them at all? Right now one of them is pluged into the smaller nipple on the coolant nipple and the other is running to a hose that is under the intake manifold that usually runs to the IAC and than to the TB. Let me know, I am going to try and get close up pics up within an hour or so.

Here's a close up...showing one of the two TB nipples. You really don't need to connect anything here. its just a inlet and outlet, you can just run the coolant hose from the front of the intake manifold to the idle motor and bypass the TB alltogether and not cap a dang thing.

In your pic, it looks like you have coolant running into one of the nipples on the TB, but than nothing on the other one? I have some pics, but they are ******* huge and I can't find my photoshop so I will get them up asap

Allright, I looked and here is where the lines run to and from. The coolant hose that runs across the back of the block (solid metal line) is where the line comes from. It runs up to the back (twoards the back of the car) nipple, then comes back out of the front nipple and into the smaller nipple where the larger coolant line runs. You can bypass these, but your cold idle will jump in 200-400 rpm incriments. And to answer the other ? about what is needed for this. Your going to need a new y8 intake mani, the y8 tb and all the sensors. I didnt use the y8 intake manifold brace and havent had any problems with it at all, I definately wouldnt shell out the 50 bucks Honda wants for one. The only major problems I ran into were 1. the 99-00 y8 intake manifolds have extra air injection ports (small ports over the injector ports) that were causing a badass vaccum leak and 2. You can't use the y8 throttle cable bracket. I ended up JB Welding the air injection ports closed and made a custom bracket for the throttle cable.

Ricey, as far as my setup goes, I am using the y8 intake manifold with my y7 TB. I have a y8 TB, but it didn't have one of the sensors that is on the y7, so I recycled the y7 TB and put the y8 bracket on there for the throttle cable. The manifold is from a 99 EX, but the air injection holes are plugged and the IAC holes on the back are plugged as well. The coolant line runs from underneath the manifold and goes into one nipple on the TB and than out the other one to the smaller nipple on the coolant nipple on the block. Another thing that I am wondering is if I hooked up the 2 sensors wrong on the TB because they have the same connector and might have fucked something up. It sounds like it wants to turn over and will turn over for a second, but than just dies sometimes. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

There is a pic of the 2 sensors I am talking about that might be backwards. Sorry for the size of it, but I reformmated and lost my photoshop so I am trying to find my copy somewhere. The one sensor is plugged into the top and has the line coming out of it that I am holding which plugs into the air intake and the other plug is on the backside of the TB which you can see this sensor is at the tip of my thumb.

geocities only allows a certain amount of transfer an hour so that page might go down, but I think you can copy and paste that into a new IE window and it should work, we-todd-did-racing is down right now or I would put it up there.
