pictures of my spark plugs tell me what you think
im running a 93 stock obd1 non vtec cx ecu on my gsr motor. im running platnuim ngk spark plugs. is it lean or jsut right?

look good to me, the electrodes are clean.
and i'm use to seeing plugs from a 2 stroke engine.
you can only imagine what those things look like after the fact

yea, they look lean, you want a brownish color, i couldnt imagine a stock cx ecu running a gsr motor right, fuel etc is different, just my thought

ya the ecu is nto givign the engine a lot of fuel, i turned my FPR to 44 should i raise it? if so what should i set it to?

i'd worry about getting the correct ECU before i worry about anything else.hopefully you're not running the car hard with this ECU?

hmmm...thats wierd. im running a greddy kit on the blue box which makes my car run really REALLY rich and my plugs look almost exactly like yours. would anyone know why?

Injector size and fuel pressure don't matter if your injectors aren't cycling at the right rate and providing enough fuel, get the right ecu and it will fix the problem.

Well, stock cars will generally have slightly white plugs but yes these plugs are showing a slightly more lean condition than your engine should be running at. Like I said get the right ECU and you problem should be solved.

my plugs look like that too...my setup is y8 with i/h/e, test pipe, zex stage 2 cam advanced 5 degrees with timing set at 16btdc. Anyone know why i'm running somewhat lean?

so mine are good right? if i turn the FPR higher will it still be lean? ya im getting my p28 chipped and i will be useing it on sunday.

you need to get the right ECU first-it's gonna have a totally different fuel map than what you currently have.you're trying to tune a car that has the compeltely wrong ECU that isn't even remotely intended to run the engine you have.
