Default Picture of my 02 sensor

My car has been throwing code 65 since i got it.
I have a cat from a 90 integra which i'm going to be putting in.

here is my question.
what should i do with this.
the car i'm putting in doesn't have a hole for it, since its obd0 cat.

get a bung welded on the cat at a local muffler shop, then you can put the 02 sensor back in.

if you look at the sensor, its not functional. Its all brunt up.
My car is throwing a code for this.
I called auto zone, and they want 80 dollars just for this sensor.
So i said F it, since i'm converting the car into obd1 anyways, so i'm putting a hollowed out cat from a 92 ls.

I wanted to know what to do with this hanging sensor.

probably the best solution....

some people just bypass the secondary o2 and create an o2 simulator

I don't want to put the sensor back in. because the cat that i'm putting is hollowed out. Hense it'll do me no good.
Plug i'm going obd1 soon.

Where can i unplug this sensor from, without cutting the wires.

well....you have 2 choices.....you can create this o2 simulator, and keep it OBD2

OR, you can go ahead and convert to OBD1, which i recommend, and cut the secondary o2, and plug the loose wires up since you have no use for them....by cutting them low (i.e. simply let them "hang" at the bottom of the car) if u decide to convert back to OBD2 in the future, at least you still have the livewires ready, but with the OBD1 setup, the wires are dead

All these responses and not one answers the question. Heh. Yes, you can unplug it. There is a rubber grommet above where the cat sits, you can see the O2 wires coming out of it. Pull the grommet off and you will expose the plug. Unplug it and you will be all set. Used to own an Si myself. Trying to put that back in with a hollowed cat and still using the OBD-II ECU will result in a check engine light about once every week or so depending on how much you drive.

thank you very much for your response.

I have a constant check engine light, because of my 02 sensor.

I ran a test pipe on my Si when I had my Greddy turbo kit, it was always tossing the code. Oh well, thats an old problem and the car and turbo are long gone.

mind my jacking the thread but...what if i have an 00 b16 in an 00 cx...do i also have this grommet for the wiring under the car even though my car had the cat on the head(d16y7) and not underneath the car. i too am throwing a code 65 and tomorrow i am getting a universal cat put on with my kteller exhaust...can the bung go in after the cat or does it need to be directly in the cat like the stock si.

Bling bling, just unclip it. If you cut the wires you will have to resolder the connections back, if you ever plan to stock the car back out to sell it. And that would = t3h suck. Mine is all haggard and fucked up becaue i taped it and it fell off and dragged on the floor for a month... so yea learn from my mistankes and just unclip it and go.

I have a chipped ecu and a obd1 harness in my room... why isnt it on the car yet? Hmmmm dont know.

Not sure on the newer CX's.. I would think that there would not be the gromet as the second O2 would not be in the same spot under the car.
