Default Pics of my AEM install in the eg6..Warning..Big pics....

Hi,all

After reading your replies about if it could fit or not I decided to drop the AEM intake in my EG6..After taking things apart I wasn't sure it could fit 'cause it's very packed in the engine bay..However I managed to sqeeze it in somehow..And now it's jammed between some hoses for Aircon and a box with ABS fuses It's actually a better and more stable install than in my eg5 (it could rattle a bit )...The pics:

After taking bumper and stuff of..

The KN filter...It just fits nicely in there

Jammed between Aircon and ABS..Works fine...No way it's ever gonna rattle:

Final result..Daumn it's loud as hell..And I like it..hehehe

Its mich easier to just pull the right front wheel and work around the whell well lining than it is to pull those damned bumpers off!! (just for future reference)

you need to trim the legs down on that intake mount. that's exactly what mine looked like before it chiseled away a hole in my AC line and blew R-134a all over my engine bay. FYI.....

personally taking of the bumper is pretty damn easy. 7 srews on top i in each wheel well and like 6 across the bottom. I personally think that's easier than jacking the car up remozing a wheel then removing the wheel well liner ti squeeze your hands in there?
but I guess it's really up to who ever is doing it....

Exactly..Much easier IMO..5 screws on top..One in each wheel well..And two at the bottom..Easy..

It's actually not touching the hose but the bolt..It's a bit difficult to see...It should be safe as is..And it definately not moving at all 'cause it's jammed against the ABS box too...

that's cool. from that angle, it looked like it was touching the ac lines. my AEM was rubbing against it and one night i mysteriously started blowing white smoke out the back of the car. come to find out the freon was dripping down the pipe, into the filter and up in the engine...wooops, no more AC for me...

Thx..It's a clear PVC hose (actually a garden hose) ..Wanted to try something different from the standard black ones..Looks cool when you can see through it
