Default picking up a alpine deck. does my 99 need a dash kit?

i cant find a real answer. does my 99 civic need a dash kit or will it just bolt right in replacing the factory unit. the only thing i can find is a universal dash kit. But wouldnt they have one made for this specific car?

Thank you!

"I can't find a real answer"? Garbage. Go to Crutchfield.

Crap answers? There are only two!!!! WTF do you want? You said all you could find were universal kits and there on that site sits two made for the car! Were you expecting a hundred different options? Sorry. Old *** car. No one is making **** for it any more. Take your *** to eBay then. Tired of all you people that claim to have researched and then get all indignant.

Hell no, you don't need one. I never used one. You can just use the existing pocket thing and the metal cage that came with the radio. Reuse the two metal braces that hold the pocket to the stock radio.

I haven't used install kits on any of my Hondas.

I didn't need one to install my Kenwood double-DIN. I just used the metal sleeve (and a little ingenuity) that came with the radio. I did have to use the trim ring that came with the dash kit to fill the gap between the radio and bezel but that was purely for asthetic purposes.

I wonder who the moron is that didn't know to install his deck? Name calling from noobs. Must be the new thing. Next you'll be asking for a kit to get the old deck out.

Shut the **** up, and **** off. You were too lazy to even put in HALF a bit of effort to search, and then when you didn't like the answers you were given, you decided to get shitty. That's not how things work around here. Grow up, stop waiting for daddy to hold your hand to cross the street, pull your mommy's nipple out of your mouth, and learn how the real world works.

Haha no I got the correct answers from people who said they didn't need it. Like I said earlier. I looked up what I wanted to know and the answers were not specific at all. Just like the beginning of this thread. If you can not comprehend that first someone said there is a dash kit. But the dash kits are for universal honda acura kits and even the one on crutchfield. People say go on ebay which there is crap. Common. You grow the **** up. I had to wait till someone with real experience installed the deck with no dash kits and worked perfectly.
You gotta understand that you make no true sense in your argument. Please try again

This guy keeps saying "universal" but it's not. I don't think you understand what the term means. There is a kit for single DIN and one for double DIN. Just like different parts are interchangeable for these cars so are the kits. THEY DO THAT FOR ALL MAKES OF CARS, NOT JUST HONDAS! Why would you need one just for a 99 Civic unless you wanted to be special (ed)?
Keeps saying eBay is crap but they're selling the same stuff as Crutchfield and Amazon, etc. Saying he couldn't get real answers but never bothered to search for himself of look at the PDF to get his answer. People know lazy when they see it.
