Pic of GSR brake MC/booster in an EG civic request
I am more than likely getting a GSR MC/booster for my brake upgrade, but I want to see how bad the rebending of the lines is.

free bump, well because I have been wondering my self.....
My suggestion is possibly going to honda and gettin a hard brake line extender that has a "U" shape to it so it could then lead to the other side of the GSR brake booster......

That's a RS MC, I am looking for a GSR MC, because they are different, the lines don't line up like the RS's do. I found someone with one, that's why I am asking.

use a 98 and up GSR and the lines don't have to be reflared, just bent a little. Use a tubing bender, or you will kink the line. sorry, no pics.

I know they need to be rebent, I want to see how much, if it's going to be a real pain in the ***, I'll just try to find a RS MC.

There are two 'versions' of the gsr master cylinder. I got the 'wrong' one in which lines need to be re-bent and one line reflared. The line bending was no problem...mine is a little ugly, but I dont give a damn.
The line flaring was slightly more tricky, but still a fairly easy proposition. I purchased the flaring tool from my Local autozone for 20ish dollars, and went to town. This procedure took all of 5 minutes, and worked flawlessly even with the POS tool I bought.
My only other advice to you is to make sure you recive the flare nuts from the new/used MC that you are picking up. Just in case you end up getting the one that requires a little more masaging like mine did.
hope that helps....sorry i have no pictures , I cant seem to keep up with new technology and have no digicam

Re: (92b16vx)
Don't even buy the flaring tool. Buy the lines pre-flared from Advance, etc.
Get the double flared, also known has inverted flare, lines with metric fittings. I bought the flaring tool and it was a POS, wouldn't hold the line in place.
In any case, with the pre-flared lines and a beer bottle to do the bending, you can use the GSR master without a problem.

Re: (Bnjmn)
if you're rich or know a good junkyard that has a GSR there, just get the 2 lines that come off the firewall that go to the M/C. I think that'll make it a direct bolt on, but the lines are like $80 each retail.

what i did go buy a shortest metric double flare brake line, and a metric union or coupling, then cut 1 end bent it into a u shape and reflare the part that you cut, and remmber to put the fitting that would fit into the gsr mc. after you done making the u brake line use the union or coupling the join the exiting brake then you are done. nice and neat. imo
