phearable.net ecu...
jw guys r these any good, they claim 10whp-up to 20whp gains...i personally no thats not
an easy feat with a d16 lol. but r these ecu's legit? my buddy had a 92 si hatch, got one and
his redline was like 8k and he said he felt a difference in how it pulled to redline, but he
still ran the same qtr mile times..lmk if it's worth the money

Your friend probably "felt" a difference because he just spent money. lol. Unless you have some decent mods,ex. I/H/E and at least a cam, if not more, I wouldn't bother. Now getting the ecu chipped I would do. That way future mods you can tune.

Re: phearable.net ecu...
you only see those numbers with some work put into the motor. Vega is pretty damn good at tuning though. Lucky for me I can drive to him in a half hour or less and have him dyno tune if I wanted lol

pherable...and xcenocron and a couple others offer chipped ecus as well as chipping kits...both are good tuners and what you get is a basemaped ecu based on the mods you give him, yes with i/h/e and a small cam you could easily see 10-20whp from getting that ecu and then having it professionally tuned.... the key there is after you get the ecu it then must be fine tuned as base maps are made to be safe some the fuel is usually rich and timing is really safe....

Re: phearable.net ecu...
I had a bad experience with a phearable ECU... The car idled very poorly and wouldn't start sometimes... I'm sure with a proper tune it would be fine, the mail-order tune is just a basemap and should really be tuned on a dyno...

Re: phearable.net ecu...
i got one in my Sol with I/H/E on my z6 and its def a noticable difference over the stock ecu.. does run a lil rich tho, gotta get a tune. but not bad for the price all u do is tell him your mods and he ships you a custom ecu for you application
