I've heard that they are not called Phantom grip for nothing - once installed you can't tell it's there. I can't speak from experience though.

They work pretty good for straight line stuff like drag-racing, but they will tear up the spider gears in the differential.

I've talked to a few of drag guys with 11 and 12 second cars and they liked the Phantom Grip but disliked having to swap trannies like clutches.

Get a real LSD if it's a street car.

Well I have run Phantom Grips a coupel times and work great. Very simple, very effective, cheap, and has any of your friends who claim the PG tore up there spider gears actually said anything too Phantom Grip? i have yet to here anything like that but unusual stuff does happen....by the way I believe its gone at least 10's so far in Pacific Performance Hatch.

notice the avatar and link in the sig. John Brown owns the patent to the Phantom Grip. You obviously work for him. Not knocking the product, but I wouldn`t use it.

John Brown eh?

The same ******** who ran me off the road on I-71, south of Mid Ohio just over 2 years ago with the car hauler and 2 cars?

Info from OPM, the Diff that was copied by Phantom Slip.......

In comparison, the Quaiffe LSD is a gear-type unit. It is heavier than the OPM unit (like a heavier flywheel) and also has to re-engage if one of the wheels loses contact with the street or racing surface. The Phantom Grip LSD is an incomplete copy of an OPM unit. It has the spring block, but no clutches so it wears out the diff housing. Dollar for dollar, the OPM unit is your best bet.

I've heard nothing but great things about the OPM diff.

OPM is here in Georgia where I live as well, and a lot of the local guys say their diff is bad-***.

Phantom Grip licks monkey *****!

Well I do work for John but I'm sure its hard to believe I actually liked the Phantom Grip before I was at JBR. OPM?? Well never heard personally but I am sure its not better then a Quaiffe, OPM is trying to say that using a Kaaz Type LSD takes too long and will slow the car down because its heavier? Ya, there on crack.Peace!
