Mine ticks like that too, it's normal.

Are you throwing any CELs?

When was the last time you did a tune-up?

I had a friend who had a 1994 Si when I had a 1992 Si and I would always beat the **** out of him mod for mod.

My friends GSR is the same way, he had a 2001 GSR and blew the engine, then he ended up getting a brand new one, no miles on it, and he said it doesn't pull as hard. He thinks maybe the break in process played a factor. So maybe your other motor was broken in a little better. But I don't know if it would cause a 15kph topout difference.
