Default performance honda intake manifold

would adding a edelbrock performance x intake manifold for a SOHC d16y8 on an otherwise stock d16y8 engine a good idea or a bad idea, what upgrades would need to be made?

Default Re: performance honda intake manifold

well heres how it goes. helping the engine get more air IN is only good if it can get that air out just as fast. so with anything, it needs to be balanced on both the intake and exhaust sides.

im going to say yes, that manifold would do some good, but without a good exhaust, its wont work to its full potential.
